08 - 1 cup powdered sugar
09 - 2 to 3 tbsp milk
10 - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

# Directions:
01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
03 - Beat in the large egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
05 - Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
06 - Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
07 - Gently press each ball with the bottom of a glass or your palm to form round cookies.
08 - Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
09 - In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and pourable; incorporate food coloring if desired.
10 - Drizzle the icing over fully cooled cookies using a spoon or piping bag and allow to set before serving.
