Peppermint Bark Shards Board (Printable)

# What you need:

→ Chocolate Layers

01 - 7 oz good-quality dark chocolate
02 - 7 oz good-quality white chocolate

→ Peppermint Topping

03 - 8 peppermint candy canes or 4 oz hard peppermint candies, crushed
04 - 1/2 tsp peppermint extract (optional)

→ Garnish

05 - 0.7 oz freeze-dried raspberries, crushed (optional)
06 - 2 tbsp mini chocolate chips (optional)

# Directions:

01 - Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and facilitate removal.
02 - Gently melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over simmering water or use short bursts in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
03 - Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the lined sheet and spread with a spatula into a rough rectangle approximately 1/4 inch thick.
04 - Refrigerate the chocolate layer for 10 minutes until it is set but still slightly soft to the touch.
05 - Melt the white chocolate using the same method, incorporating peppermint extract if desired for enhanced flavor.
06 - Pour and evenly spread the melted white chocolate over the chilled dark chocolate layer.
07 - Immediately scatter crushed peppermint candies and optional garnishes over the white chocolate, pressing gently to adhere.
08 - Place the layered confection in the refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes until it is fully set and firm.
09 - Remove from fridge and break or cut the bark into irregular, shareable pieces.
10 - Arrange the peppermint bark shards loosely on a wooden serving board, inviting guests to help themselves.
